I've always loved to read, and I've always loved to read aloud. As a children's librarian, I enjoyed "doing all the voices", making stories more dramatic. But I have anxiety disorder. This class has been a challenge for myself-getting up in front of people, on camera, being someone else, trying to be convincing, trying to follow directions. The experience has made reading to strangers no more frightening than reading to children. I'm very glad I joined the group.

I attended several of the American Readers Theatre's productions and was very impressed as they were done very professionally. I felt it had to be a difficult and challenging way to present theatre and reading. I have been attending Mr. Stocker's classes for 6months and his teaching technique as well as his encouraging and supportive attitude has been a delightful and helpful experience. I have already been in one the productions..."Visit to a Small Planet"
