The Purpose Of Dramatic Readings

To become a more confident reader and to learn the art of dramatic reading.

The American Readers Theatre will continue its “Adult On-Camera Acting Workshop” to be held every Friday night from 6-7pm at the Biondo Community Room 221 Broad Street downtown Milford. The acting sessions are held on-camera so that the actor can see himself and incorporates strong reading skills and to learn how to bring emotions forward while reading aloud. All sessions are taught by the founder and director of ART Jeffrey Stocker who has been teaching acting for professional actors for over 30 years at his studio in NYC. Actors from the Workshop have had the opportunity to join the ART productions performed here in Milford but also at the National Arts Club in NYC where Mr.Stocker is the Chair of the Theatre/Drama Committee. For more information and fees call ART at 570-686-4064 or 917-902-4174.
Jeffrey Stocker Continues To Work With The Joffrey Ballet

Jeffrey Stocker will begin his second year of work with the Joffrey Ballet School in New York where he will create an "Acting For The Dancer" workshop that will incorporate his "Cold-Reading Technique" with an emphasis on enhancing skills in the art of dramatic reading.
