David Contento has been active in the administration of health care and performing arts projects for over 35 years. He has served on the Boards of Directors for both for profit and not for profit organizations having written grants at the local, state, and federal levels for several not for profit entities. He was an administrative professional in Legal Services and Community Mental Health programs prior to becoming an Administrator in medicine over 20 years ago.
In healthcare, David has worked in the administration and development of community medicine services for physician group practices, clinics, and hospitals with a focus in both Primary and Specialty care medicine in the Metropolitan Boston and New York areas. He has published articles, presented, and consulted nationally. He has played an active role in physician group practice mergers, acquisitions, and the development of integrated healthcare delivery systems with hospitals, clinics, and physician organizations. For the past seven years he has served as the Chief of Finance for a large group of Northern New Jersey neurologists and was recently appointed Practice Administrator. Mr. Contento holds a Bachelor’s of Science degree from Purdue University, particpated in the doctoral program at Syracuse University where he received a Master's of Arts degree and attended Law School at Villanova University. He is a Fellow in the American College of Medical Practice Executives.
Mr Contento has been actively involved with the American Readers Theatre as both Treasurer and a reader for just over one year. He has appeared in: “Charlotte’s Web” as the Goose, Lurvey ,and Uncle, the pig, as Renfield in “Dracula”, as Father in “Christmas, 1933”, as Scrooge in “A Christmas Carol”. He appeared most recently in “Animal Farm” as Snowball, the pig and Benjamin the donkey.
